When I first laid eyes on the Confrontation starter set, I knew the Wolfen would be just the sort of army for me and I rushed to order this army book. When it arrived, I was not disappointed. All the stats, facts and figures you need for your game are there, luxuriouly padded out with all sorts of back story, artwork and photos. It's real high quality stuff, printed on thick, glossy paper and feels more like some sort of "coffee table" book than a serious rules document. And therein, I think, lies the only problem...
A good rulebook should be robust, able to withstand the constant page-flicking and thumbing that it will inevitably be subjected to, and I'm just not sure this will be up to the task. It's so pretty that you'll feel guilty if it gets damaged in any way. That's weird, isn;t it, that my only criticism is that it's too good... If you buy one (and I'm sure the same will apply to the army books for all the different factions), you'll know what I mean.
Maybe I'll buy another, then I'll have one for every day use and one for best!
