No Cure for the Paladin Blues is the third volume in the stick adventures of the Order of the Stick. It follows the tale of six inept adventurers, who are on a quest to defeat their leader's arch-nemesis. Of course, it doesn't stop each adventurer looking for power, wealth, and even a way to make Elan's puppet a god.
Provided that you have read the first book, or webcomic strips, I highly recommend this book to players of Dungeons and Dragons. The tale is based on D&D, as well as the rules it uses. This makes some of the humour in the comic lost to those who have not played D&D. However, even people who haven't played D&D will still find some very good humour in the book, as the majority is not based on D&D as such, but more on the foolishness of the characters and the unbelievable situations they can land themselves in.
One of the fantastic aspects of Rich Burlew's comic is how his comic sucks you in, and you suddenly forget that you're reading about stick figures. In fact, the stick figures make him focus on the more important aspects of the story, such as character development and a good plot. Combine this with Burlew's humour, the character's interesting rivals and their adventures; this comic is one of the best around.
Of course, one might ask: "Why should I buy the book, if it can be read for free on the internet?" Well, that's true. If you strapped for cash - or not interested in buying the book - then hop over to GiantITP.com and check it out. However, for those who want a more deepened experience of the Order of the Stick, the book contains all the webcomic strips, bonus strips and commentary from Mr Burlew himself.
With a high page count, high-quality full-colour comics and many extras, this is a must-have for any Order of the Stick fan or D&D player looking for many good laughs.
