Mystery of the Abbey is a new kind of "whodunit" game of deduction and intuition, set in a medieval abbey. Players compete and collaborate to solve the mystery by moving through the Abbey's beautifully rendered board and questioning their brethren.

Gameplay is in turn fun, captivating and tense; the atmosphere, vivid; the immersion, complete. Constant interactivity between the players, intelligent questioning and dynamic intrigue make Mystery of the Abbey the game of choice for an hour of fun with friends and family alike.

Loosely based on "The Name of the Rose", this game will take you to a monastery in which a murder has been commited. You are to investigate and be the first to name the culprit.
At the beginning of the game, from a deck of monk cards, one is put under the board - this is the murderer. To find out who he is, you will have to eliminate other monks from your list and narrow it down to that one person who nobody has seen last night...
MotA is a great family deduction game, featuring beautiful art, some nice twists (like the Event cards which can change the gameplay a bit and the Library cards which can give you an edge over the other players) and even a small bell to ring when there's time for mass! High quality throughout.

If you like light, family-friendly games that require a bit of thinking and not much strategy, AND are insanely fun, this is a good choice. One of my favourites when it comes to looks and definately a great title for a meeting with non-gamer friends.
