Munchkins have hacked their way through dungeons, kung fu temples, starships, haunted houses, and super-foes. Now they face their greatest challenge - Cthulhu! Will they survive? Will they retain their sanity? Will they . . . level up?

Munchkin Cthulhu is the newest stand-alone game in the Munchkin line, this time lampooning Lovecraft's Mythos and the horror gaming that surrounds it. Brought to you by Steve Jackson and John Kovalic, this set features four new Classes - including the Cultist - and a lot of classic monsters from outside reality. And they all have Stuff you can take from their twitching bodies. You can play Munchkin Cthulhu by itself, or combine it with any number of other Munchkin games for mind-bending silliness.

At last a sensible Munchkin set, no sorry only messing with you. Munchkin Cthulhu is just as diabolical and warped as any other set, so fits in perfectly with the Lovecraft stories and poems. The art work is great and is in colour!! The rules are just as simple as the other sets, plenty of scope in them to argue about the semantics and interruption of them.
If you are a Munchkin fan then you know you will be buying it at some point, so why not now and enjoy. If this is your first outing in to Munchkin and you enjoy Lovecraft then it is a perfect choice to make.

Munchkin. A game famous in it's own right amongs basement-dwelling fantasy roleplay geeks anywhere. Not so rare as it's Munchkin D20 counterpart, this box set (And indeed, it's many, many expansions) are an important, nay, VITAL addition to anyones gaming table.

The rules are simple (And openly inviting cheating, so long as you can get away with it) and even the sheet they are written on is laden with in-jokes. The cards themselves are solid, well-produced and, with the reknowned art of Mr. Kovalic of Dork Tower fame, incredibly well-presented. Did I mention funny?

Very funny.

This game is not to be taken seriously by any means. In fact, if you're not laughing, joking and backstabbing by the third round of cards being played, then something is most likely wrong with you. If it's being played in a half-hour snack-break from [Insert tabletop roleplaying game here], or on it's own with a couple of beers on a night off, Munchkin always delivers.

Highly, highly, highly reccomended.
