Overall - top class gaming entertainment, easy to learn & satisfying to play, great colourful board and high quality pieces, plenty of replay value.

Is it for you? If you like wargames and all that manoeuvering of soldiers, tanks and artillery, then a definite yes. It holds no interest for my wife at all. 10 year old son describes it is as fun and competitive.

Game play - easy to follow, clearly laid out rules book, which also contains the scenarios. Movement and battling rules are simple enough to be up and running quickly, but just complex enough to be properly weighted in favour of more powerful units. Turns for each player come around quickly, so no dead time. Scenarios last from about 45 to 90 minutes including set up. Full marks to author Richard Borg.

Hardware - beautifully colourful double sided board; great quality terrain hexes printed on thick card stock; tons of little soldiers, tanks, artillery, sandbags, barbed wire; 8 special dice for resolving battles. All excellent quality.

Bonus - I have learnt quite a lot about the D-Day landings from the historical notes that set the scene for each scenario. No 1 son and I are now considering visiting France to discover more.

If you're still reading, treat yourself, and buy his game. You won't regret it.
