The end of an old tale and the beginning of a new one. This base set marks a unique moment in Legend of the Five Rings history, for the very nature of this new iteration depended entirely on the actions of the players. GenCon Indy 2005 saw the climax of the introduction to the Lotus Edition of Legend of the Five Rings. Decided by the results of Gen Con Indy 2005, this set might tell the beginning of a hopeful new tale, Lotus Edition, as the Great Clans begin to explore new paths of enlightenment or it might tell a bleak and shadowed tale of a land where, for a time, there is no hope, no enlightenment at all the tale of the Dark Lotus Edition.
In the end, Scott Rixon won the tournament with a Tainted Crane deck and chose to usher in a new age of enlightenment. Lotus Edition is here!
