Anyone who's already treated themselves to a few Confrontation units will be aware of the ridiculous over-packaging, so I won't dwell on that. But this pack only includes two figures. Two big figures, but still only two figures. In terms of actual plastic per penny spent, you're not going to get much.
But, and this is important, the two figures you get are incarnates - the Confrontation equivalent of heroes - and can do a lot more on the battelfield than a standard unit. They also cost more AP so, in gaming terms, you're not doing badly for your money!
The two figures included are Onyx and Y'Anrylh (a name which reminds me of the noise my mate made when he had a butterfly go up his nose). Both incarnates are excellent pieces to field on the tabletop, but there's a slight problem with that. Onyx attaches to any unit of Fangs - no problems as Fangs are out, available and probably up for grabs at a good price on IGUK. Y'Anrylh, however, attaches to a unit of Bloodthirsty Predators - a unit that is not available yet and will not be available for a while. So of your two figures, only one can be used at the moment. Poor planning by the boys and girls at Rackham I think...
So there you have it, two great figures that you will definitely want to acquire - eventually. If you're gaming budget is as tightly controlled as mine, you may want to invest in some bigger units at this stage and keep an eye on this set for when the Bloodthirst Predators finally hit the shelves. Hopefully, that won't be too long...
