Guard bugs are a gigantic breed of warrior bug, engineered for sheer power and brutality. Almost unstoppable in combat, only directed heavy weapons have a chance of bringing down a swarm of guard bugs before they close with their enemies. Looking like exceptionally well-armoured warrior bugs, guard bugs mass a great deal more and are far stronger. They are employed to guard the most vulnerable parts of a colony, such as the queen’s chambers.
