Grand Dames of Small World

The counterpoint to Cursed!, the other mini expansion to Small World, the races and powers in this expansion are less based on attack, more on defence and funky powers. Gypsies are constantly on the move, getting additional gold for each area they abandon each turn. Priestesses put all their in-decline pieces on a single region making it very tough to kill them. And the White Ladies are completely immune to anything once in decline so can provide a lot of gold if they stick around long enough – although the fact you only get 2 of them does make this a tricky play.

The new powers are Historian and Peace-Loving, the first giving a bonus whenever anyone declines and the second a bonus if you do not attack active races.

Overall, not as much wow as Cursed but definitely adds flavour to the game. Recommended.
