The old dragon Drakon has captured a brave band of adventurers who have sneaked into her lair to steal her gold. But rather than eat them immediately, Drakon has decided to make it a game: Greed shall set one of the adventurers free. She sends the frightened adventurers into her magical, mad, vaulted chambers, and the first one to collect ten gold from Drakon's maze gets to go free. The rest get to be lunch. Drakon is a simple, exciting, fast-paced game of greed and desperation for 2-6 players. Build the dungeon, steal gold from your buddy, and come out alive! It's every man, woman, and dwarf for himself!

This 3rd Edition of FFG's classic game features new components and artwork, including seven incredibly detailed plastic figures!

When I saw this game I had high hopes for a dungeons and dragons type adventure, that was quick to play, but with plenty of variety to keep you interested. I have to admit that I was sceptical but figured it was worth chancing. I wasn't disappointed.

I won't go into details about whats in the box and how you play, you can find that online, what you can't always see is if it's any good. Personally I like games that have depth to them in terms of variety; how different one game is to the next. Because of the large selection random tiles, the effects one tile can have on another, you get great changeability, the fact that you can change played tiles as you go along means you can create loops to help yourself, but they can also be broken and led into danger.

There are lots of elements to make this game interesting, there is even an advanced game option to let you get further involved. But the thing that appealed to me was how straight forward this is. Although it takes a short while to get used to what everything does, the game itself is simple and once familiar, turns can be taken very quickly. Don't get me wrong there is a time and a place for the complex games, but when you're just not in the mood, this game can still appeal.
