Border Box 1: Federation Commander

This is good value for the money with a variety of the most important ships for the game (heavy cruisers). The mix of ships was very good and most were formed very well in my box. Sadly, some of the Klingon and Federation ships suffered from large amounts of flash (the Klingon heavy cruisers particularly). It wasn't difficult to clean up but it was still a bit of a minor nuisance.

Also, while freighters are useful I think I would rather have had more warships than freighters but the contents of the border boxes are dictated by the ship cards included for Klingon Border and Klingon attack.

All in all, this was a useful set of miniatures and it provides decent forces for the Federation, Klingons, Kzinti, and a few Tholian ships. Enough to get you ready for gaming if you don't have the smaller squadron boxes or useful if you want to expand those boxes into larger fleets.
