    Re: Transamerica Tourney

Ok, lets get this tournament started.

Firs round is going to be made up of three games each with 4 players in it. Top 2 scorers from each game will go through to a 6 player final.

    Games are as follows

    Game 1
    Harry The Lime
    Johnnyb
    Steepike
    Jeranu25

    Game 2
    Colin9
    IanButty
    Whitestone
    Milarky

    Game 3
    Peter12
    Poozle
    Jabberwock
    Mikedeaders

Can somebody from each game volenteer to keep the game in order and try and arrange a day that all 4 players in the team can manage. Then post the results here.

Each game will continue until there is a winner. The winer will go through as well as the next lowest score. So for example game 1 finishes with the following scores

    Tom 6
    Fred 0
    Bill 2
    Harry 5

So Fred and Bill would go through. In the event of a tie then all tied players will go through. IF this happens on more thanone game there may be another round, but we can deal with that when/if it happens.

    Good luck

    Re: Transamerica Tourney

I would offer to organise it but I don't really understand BSW yet so if someone else could I would be HUGELY appreciative.

    Re: Transamerica Tourney

Must admit I can't even get BSW to work at the minute - can't figure out why - it hangs after the chat boxes appear. Any ideas anyone?

Check your anti virus software isnt blocking anything it shouldn't be. That is sometimes a problem.

Otherwise the usuals, has anything changed on your pc?

    Re: Transamerica Tourney

    I don't think it's a firewall thing - I can still play Carcassonne.

When I click the link for TransAmerica on the first TransAmerica post, all seems to go well, the Java kicks in, I get the chat boxes and then it hangs.

It's more likely to be due to a general incompetence and a lack of ability to understand German!

Do I have to download the game client again in order to play TransAmerica?

If not, can I navigate from the Carcassonne screen to TransAmerica?

    Re: Transamerica Tourney

If you can get to teh carc game screen then you can change over to Transamerica very easily.

Click on the "mitspieler gesucht" button, its on the brown strip below all the game buttons. This bring up thelist of all the games supported by the client.
Then sellect "Alle Spiele" (All games), then scroll down the list till you find transamerica.

This will then show you all the transamerica games running and you can join/start/watch any that are running.

    Hope it helps

I may have gotten the wrong end of the stick, but I thought it was the person with the highest score who wins??

Steerpike - afraid I'm working late all this week, so none of those dates are suitable. 14th, 15th or 16th after 21:00 hrs I'm currently free.

    Re: Transamerica Tourney

    Hi Harry-

yes, the Count does appear to be reversing the traditional scoring mechanism. Maybe in the vain hope of winning this time around ?

I'm  travelling with work all next week, so 14/15/16 are not good unless I can find a seedy internet cafe in the back streets of Florence.

At a push I can make Thursday lunchtime (10th) if nobody around here works for a living. Failing that, we're going to have to look for dates late next week.

Jernau, Johnnyb - where are y'all on this one ?

    Re: Transamerica Tourney

Ok, what I meant was that the highest scoring person goes through to the final, followed by the next highest score. Hoping that we can get 2 people from each game through to a 6 player final.

Sorry for the mix up, next time I will re-read before I post.

Still on teh lookout for a looser wins game ;-)

    Re: Transamerica Tourney

Yeah, Monday 14 May is fine for me. Alternatively, Tuesday and Wednesday (15-16 May resp.) I'm taken, Thursday 17 May might be an option.

    Harry, Steerpike, Jernau

So far the only night I cannot do is friday 11th May - should be ok for 21:30/22:00/22:30 any other day before the 21st May - then things look complicated so I'm going to look no further ahead right now.

    Re: Transamerica Tourney

11th is good for me! I'll keep checking back to see what the others have to say - consider it pencilled in the diary. Failing that, I'm no good on Wednesdays or Thursdays but pretty much available around 8-10pm the rest of the time.
