Well the results are in...and what a closely fought (and very tense) game it was!
The very first tile, laid by Harry The Lime, set a certain tone - instead of taking a quick and easy two points for a city, it's a farming strategy he goes for! Not to be outdone, the game quickly became a mad scramble for farming superiority with smaller 2, 6 and 8 point cities marking the boundaries. Luckily for me, I left them to their own devices on that one and concentrated on stealing/sharing as many cities as possible whenever tiles allowed - although I think we all had our fair share of road tiles throughout the game. Without going into too much detail, by the time the game was nearly done, Harry the Lime had a comfortable lead on the farming but hadn't scored enough points during the game to secure victory. Jonobe had scored well and but for the sake of "1 man" would have stolen the game with a Cloister. CountZero had suffered from an early bout of Roaditis and although he cleaned up on cloisters at the end game, it just wasn't enough. Jernau pipped it with a healthy bunch of incomplete cities.
