    Re: Carcassonne Tournament

Yeah, same here. I'm usually home around 6.30, so given a bit of time to eat and stuff, I could be ready at 7.30 - 8.00. I'm away tomorrow night and all weekend, but next week I should be fully available. :o)

Yup, me too, it just showed the gray chat box, not the actualy game, only the web client worked.  I'll look into getting it working and coming back on BSW

    Game Report

    Milarky Vs Bellringer

    124, vs 87 Milarky wins

Close game, milarky trapped a few of Bellringers meeples earlier only to be freed  to late right at end of game, but milarky had a huge city building project so scorces stayed even though out game..

    Hi Nick,

OK - 8p.m. Tuesday it is (8:00 UK time - has sudden thought that your anti-social hours might be 'cos you live elsewhere!). I hope you can find me, and that you know how to start a game - I haven't figured that bit out yet!

    Re: Carcassonne Tournament

No, UK time it is - just anti-social hours as you say (either that or I REALLY like gaming!). Don't worry, if you're there, I'll find you!

    Re: Online Carcassonne Tournament

OK, countzero, let's get organized. Thursday doesn't look too bad for me if the traffic on the M1 and M25 is kind. Could be ready for 9.00pm if that's any good to you?

I've had a look at the site, read through the instructions, and I must say, am none the wiser, especially about starting a game. I was in the Carcassone room on Saturday and was going to invite myself into a game but it's infested with Germans. Ich nicht sprechen Deutsche!

    Re: Online Carcassonne Tournament

9Pm on Thursday is fine with me.

If you can get a game in befoer then its good practice. The BSW way of doing things maybe a little different to what you are used to.

To get into a game just start on off yourself, somebody will join it withing 10 mins. Just go to the carc room, ans find an enpty game. Then double click on it and you will enter the game. Then you can either click on teh join button, or type /join in teh bottom chat window.

    Re: Carcassonne Tournament

Results of the Peter12 - Jernau25 match are in....and a close and very tense affair it was too!!!

    Final Score : Peter12 : 110 - Jernau25 : 123 - Jernau25 wins

Pete started the "Big Farm" off early, of course, it was little then but by the end it was HUGE (30 points apiece). I spent most of the game just trying to stay level in the farm whilst picking up points for small and 6 point cities here and there. Pete also managed to get a hold on a cluster of cloisters which scored him big at the end but tied up 3 of his meeples. A big city in the top right corner could have swung it but I managed to share that just in time. In the end, I'd done just enough on roads and small cities to stay far enough ahead for the final count, with Pete winning out on cloisters and we shared the farm. Thanks for the game Pete - don't blame it on the wine!.

Jernau25 wrote "A big city in the top right corner could have swung it but I managed to share that just in time" - Share? Invade methinks!

That said, it was a splendid game and a truly deserving victory to Nick. It's been my first tournament, and I really enjoyed the game. I'll have to practice harder for the next tourney (and maybe lay off the wine until the game is over!)

Seriously though, we had a warm-up match which I won (which was probably more of a surprise to me than anyone else), but when the real match came, skill overcame fluke and I was beaten fair and square. Whoever meets Nick in the next round had best watch out!

** Pete bows before Nick** Well played Sah!
