    Re: HtL v Jeff B.

No sign of Poozle in well over a week now - how long should I wait?

    Re: HtL v Jeff B.

OK - I now have the little dustbins against all 3 of my games with Poozle. Can I have a judgement call please CZ?

    Re: HtL v Jeff B.

Just sent him a mail, let me give him a couple of days then I will see.
We are waiting on one more game, Ian Butty against Neil if either of those has bailed then its easy, if not I will have to work something out.

    Thanks

No we are still playing on - 1 game each at the moment.  We are in a tense decider.  It is slow as for a long time I've only been able to take moves durring the day and Neil mainly in the evening so we've only managed a handful of move each day.  But we are getting there!

    Re: HtL v Jeff B.

I would just like to say I'm incredibly sorry for holding up the games.  As I said in my reply to CZ I went away for a few days and then completely forgot about this, it was only when I got the email I remembered.

Anyway, games just ended aainst Harry the Lime, 2:1 to Harry.

Good games, none of them really seemed to go my way and you used some really interesting tactics at the end...

Sorry again for the major delays.

    Re: HtL v Jeff B.

You're not the last Poozle - Neil and I are still playing.  One game each.  We are on the final game with currently one cup each.  So a bit of a tense decider. Could go either way.  Neil and I appear to hardly ever be online at the same time so it is taking us a while to get the moves done.

Hopefully we will finish the game in the next day or so!

    Ian.

    Re: HtL v Jeff B.

After a titanic and drawn out struggle, I just managed to pip Ian to the post, but it was a photo finish.  Great games, but I think I've used up all my luck.

    Re: Final Score

Well done Neil.  (2:1 to Neil)

And good luck to all those who made in to the next round.

I don't envy CZ trying to work out how that one should be played!

    Ian.

    Re: Final Score

Ok, second round done and its on to the final. Scores after the second round were.

    Player                         Games Played         Points

    Neil Hewitt                             2                      5
    Pikeman                                 2                      2
    JeffB                                      2                      1
    Harry                                     2                      5
    Poozle                                    2                      1
    Adam8                                   2                      4
    Ian Butty                                2                      3

So the grand final is going to be Neil vs Harry.
    Adam8, you were pretty close!

    Good luck guys

HtL vs. KtM - The Grand Final: Result

    Result just in...

Game 1: A slow start from both sides, with the game well over the halfway mark before Harry takes the Grey cup. Kruwe strikes back, taking the Yellow cup, but this allows Harry to claim the Blue. Shortly after, Harry gets a lock on the green cubes on the board, and game end follows swiftly with Harry claiming the Green cup. (Harry wins 3:1)

Game 2: A one-sided affair, due to Kruwe drawing practically all the high & low cards all the way through the game. All Harry can do is fight a rearguard action, delaying the inevitable for as long as possible (some 70 turns). Kruwe ultimately wins, taking the Grey, Blue & Green cups. (Kruwe wins 3:0)

Game 3: As befits the deciding game of the grand final, the last game was a tense, 79 turn, epic of a contest... Kruwe races ahead in the first half to claim the Red cup by a considerable margin (something which was to prove his undoing later), but Harry pulls back with the Blue cup shortly after. Harry strikes again some dozen turns later, taking the Green cup and, shortly after that, uses his extra red cubes to claim the Yellow cup & victory! (Harry wins 3:1)

Result: Harry the Lime 2:1 Kruwethemerciless

    Thanx 4 the games Neil!
