    Haven't you won enough recently?

Probably, but it always sweetens the deal.

And, frankly, my chances at Genial are very small. I'm not so good at the abstract games.

    Re: Einfach Genial Tournament

Very easy to learn, but very difficult to win against a good player. An element of luck involved, but more skill than anything. Get some practice games in. It's quite a popular game so there will always be takers. Games only take a few minutes and you will usually end up playing 2 or 3 games against the same player in 30 mins or less i.e. until you've been beaten enough times to completely destroy your confidence!

    Good luck.

I have 11 people signed up so far, and could do with a few more. I will leave it open for another week, so any more entries please post here before the 5th October.

    Thanks

    Re: Einfach Genial Tournament

Time to kick this tourney off, we have 12 players including a new player, Croppertarty. To get a bit of life into the game and to give players a chance to play more than one game I have split the players up into 4 groups of three. Each player must play the other two players in there group.
Each match will be a best of three games and the winner will score 3 points for a win, 0 for a loss and in the unlikely event of a draw both players will get 1 point. Highest player in each group will go through to the next round.

    The groups are as follows

    Group A
    Count Zero
    Jernau25
    Johnnyb

    Group B
    Dobbie
    Pikeman
    Croppertarty

    Group C
    IanButty
    Harry the Lime
    Gwlgardner

    Group D
    Poozle
    Steerpike
    Steve Wood

Use IM, or mail to arrange your games and start playing. The quicker the better. If anyone needs any practice rounds then shout, as I can play a few or I am sure others can help.

    Thanks

Dobbie/Croppertarty - best way to contact me is through e mail to colin.whittle@three.co.uk . When you get a reply you will also get my mobile number so we could even do this the old fashioned way.... and talk. Promise you won't stalk me if I beat you though?

Poozle / Steve - I'm ready when you are (sorry for the delay I have been travelling with work).

What are the best times for each of you. For me it is generally week day nights (Mon-Thu) from around 9pm onwards although I can arrange to be earlier if necessary.

    Cheers S
