I don't understand why the game finished when it did - the rules say all of one type of piece must be captured or tied, but all three types are still on the board.  Can anyone enlighten me as to why it ended?

There is another condition which will end a game... 4 tied figues (any figures for which were surrounded but no-one had total control of).  At the bottom of the game screen their is a tally of tied figures.

gratz to all who pummelled me on AKA, I was a looonnnggg way behind.

I think I must be missing something in the rules tho - I don't understand why the game finished when it did - the rules say all of one type of piece must be captured or tied, but all three types are still on the board.  Can anyone enlighten me as to why it ended? I was expecting one or two more turns (not that that would have been any help to me).

There are two end game conditions.

Either when all of one type of piece has been captured OR when there are four tied pieces.

The four tied pieces do not have to be the same - although in this game they were because we all seemed to be fighting over the high helmets. I do not believe the game would have survived another full round anyway as the buddhas would have been cleared in two moves.

    Thanks for the game !

...aaah, ok - thanks for those replies.  I wasn't sure what that meant, so I wasn't looking for it at the end - all clear now.

I have had to recreate the Ruko and Kiiro games to allow them to start with 3 players. Can you rejoin your respective games and start tehm off, we have a third player for the Ruko game.

CZ - Kiiro now has 3 out of 4 players (still no sign of our missing 4th player).  We can't start the game with only three players - I think only you as game creator can start the game off.  Would you do the honours for us.

    Thanks,

    Time for the final

    The finallists are

    Dobbie
    Steerpike
    Jernau25
    Gary9

the game name on mabiweb is IGUK Samurai : ketteiteki and the password is zeroshouldhavewon

This one is not using hidden scores for two reasons. 1, hidden scores don't work anyone can look at teh game log and see who took what. 2, the rest of us can see who is winning.

    Good luck all
